A good campaigning idea from the Republican Movement:
It is a website about what a NZ based head of state would be like, and will be used to run a mock Election for head of state later in the year.
If you want to nominate someone, go to www.president.org.nz/nominate and do so there.

I thought about being mischievous and nominating Queen Bess... but I decided to get into the spirit of the thing, even though I'm not a Republican, and nominated Jamie Belich.

I bet some Labour people voted Helen, she will be looking for a job in a few months. If she doesn't get her dream job in the UN then it might be a good opportunity for the Rep movement in NZ to push this instead?
