Whatever you think of the Hon. Judith Tizard, I always knew it was NZ music month because she’d wear the music month T Shirt in the house.
Right now we are in the middle of NZ Music Month- check out the website for all the awesome gigs that are on.
Then check out the beehive website. Click on Arts, Culture and Heritage and check out the non-announcement of NZ Music Month by the Hon.Chris Finlayson.
In 2008 I found 6 press releases from Judith on NZ Music Month. And so far for 2009 0 announcements from Chris Finlayson.
Every Labour Party Annual Conference or Campaign Launch event I have ever been to- has used nothing but NZ Music artists. Che Fu, Oceania’s Hinewehi Mohi, Stellar, Whirimako Black, Goldenhorse, Dame Malvina Major, Sir Howard Morrison, Elemeno P, Te Vaka- just to name the ones I can remember.
Labour believes in NZ Music. Long may it continue.
If Labour believes in NZ Music so much, how many media releases has Labour made supporting NZ music month? Other than criticising National (If that signifies the level of support).

It would be wrong to confuse press release with activity. Auckland central voters weren't fooled by it when they sacked Judith Tizard for Nikki Kaye.
Putting out press releases and going to cocktail parties and hob-nobbing with musicians doesn't a politician make.

Finlayson is also the Attorney General. I wonder if he is doing anything in that role?
Its amazing that despite her work at NZ music month Tizard was voted out, maybe the public wants a MP that does more then see a few NZ bands play
