Yes but if it isn't up to elected councillors to decide that council owned assets can be sold, why is it they can decide to spend ratepayers' money buying more assets too? Or in other words, shouldn't ratepayers' money not be theirs to spend either?
In other words, you only think it's ok if councillors spend other people's money on buying things, but not if they sell those same things and give them back the money.
