So for some people class size is important, and small classes are better.
Turns out, the people that matters most for are the kids of the rich and privileged, those who can afford private schooling.
The state education system most of us use is somewhat different apparently.
I'm not surprised parents, schools, principals and teachers are mad as hell about this.
That whistling sound you can hear echoing around Wellington is Hekia Parata's political career deflating.
But Jordan, you support a system that allows rich to have better educational options than poor. Labour has always voted for parents to pay twice if they want choice, taxes AND fees - and only rich parents have the ability to do this.
Little wonder why you have many immigrants who work around the clock to get their kids into a private school. They are the only schools that listen to the wishes of parents first, not unions or teachers. If you truely believed in extending the best possible education to ALL our kids, you'd be exploring the option of allowing access to all good schools to the parents who want them, not just the rich.
